Kara Matherson is a 15-year-old girl stuck with a life that she wishes weren't hers. Her mother, after a massive stroke, was left a vegetable and worthless lump. After Kara's grandmother's death and her father's dissapearance, Kara was left to take care of her wasting mother, and devote the rest of her young years to the woman who was worse than dead. Her peers tease her, and she feels worthless and alone.

But, when strange things begin to happen to Kara's tormentors, Kara realizes that her mother isn't all gone. So, it's up to her to find a way to escape her real troubles and rescue not only herself, but those who depend on her.

And it's up to Ams to work said things into the plot. e_e;
