Adrian is very much a demon. Irritable and short-tempered, he finds it hard to reason or think about things. He is, however, a surprisingly personable individual, once you look past the talons and twelve piercings. He has learned, from Laznusaniel, to control his emotions enough to not attack things at random. As long as you don't sit on his tail or wave a cross in his face, he's pretty easy to get along with, if you don't mind being bitched at and sometimes injured. e_e;
Adrian became a demon the night that he, to make a long and complicated story very short, killed his abusive, alcoholic mother. He was about 15 at the time, and he refuses to tell anyone the details. It's likely that he's forgotten them himself.
It was by sheer luck that he survived the transformation. He was also rather lucky to come out of it remaining freaking gorgeous. He's hot stuff and he knows it, even with green skin. However, he keeps his bangs long to hide his one serious disfigurement -- his right eye is mutilated and blinded, the area around it darkened and scarred. Again, he refuses to explain what happened, and no one has any guesses this time around.
There are quite a few people who have a bone to pick with Adrian, mostly because [ SPOILER ALERT XD ] he killed a man named Asratet, the last remaining elder of the old gathering, in revenge for the murder of Laznusaniel. It wasn't like Asratet was a great person -- he loved propaganda and never gave a straight answer to anyone -- but Adrian also killed the last remnant of the old way of life. There are those who would say Adrian damned his race, but there are those who would say he saved it. The answer, of course, will be revealed in time.
Since Adrian is not exactly as reserved and secretive as most demons in the city -- he likes shopping at the mall, and isn't about to give it up because of big ears and a tail -- he has to deal with a lot of would-be killers, as well as those who wish to save his soul from darkness. Though he knows they mean well, he finds the attempts quite entertaining, and even carries various 'satanic' symbols to ward them off with.
